We the People took action and not surprisingly met resistance. If you engaged in our initial affidavit and proposed bill to end Walz's emergency powers, you probably noticed your certified mail was never fully received. We are not 100% sure what the delivery status means, but we believe the officials assumed the certified mail if acknowledged would require action and sat on it and hoped to wait out the clock.
Many of you followed up with emails to these affidavits, you refused to be ignored. When Walz extended his emergency powers yet again and set August as the likely end. We kicked off Phase 2 of our Fight for MN. This resulted in another round of affidavits and notices, with a new strategy to get them delivered directly to the individuals. We finally had success proven by delivery confirmations.
Walz's emergency powers ended early on July 1st.
We are not the alone in organizing and taking action against these abusive and unnecessary emergency powers. We don't claim that our actions are the sole thing that led to the end of the emergency power abuse. There are other groups fighting in different ways, which we support all peaceful and legal avenues to help our elected officials actually serve the people. There are also a handful of MN elected officials that are in the trenches fighting for us and pushing to protect our state constitution. The majority of Republican's and Democrats are more interested in deals and optics with evidence of that where some deals made while ending Walz's power that could challenge our freedoms in the future. If those were to happen, we will use our constitution and God given freedoms and once again fight that fight in a peaceful and legal way.
Thank You to everyone who took action and shared with others how to take action.
